CANADIAN CONGREGATIONS ISSUE CLIMATE STATEMENT
At the UISG Plenary in Rome in May 2019, the 65 Canadian members of the UISG decided to prepare a joint statement on the climate emergency in advance of Canada’s federal election taking place on October 21st. The statement, released on the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, outlines some of the many steps that the Congregations have taken to address the emergency, and calls on all politicians and political candidates to work together to address this problem.
